Build the Workflow
1. Import your product
Add a Shopify Import node and select the product you want to photograph. Choose the best existing product image as a reference.
2. Add an Assistant for prompt refinement
Add an Assistant node and connect the Shopify Import's image output to the Assistant's image input. Set the system instructions to:
Analyze this product image. Describe the product in detail — type, color, material, shape. Then write a professional product photography prompt that includes: white studio background, soft diffused lighting, 45-degree angle, shallow depth of field, commercial product photography style.
This generates a tailored prompt based on the actual product.
3. Generate the image
Add an Image Generation node and connect:
- The Assistant's text output → Image Generation's prompt input (green)
- The Shopify Import's image output → Image Generation's reference images input (purple)
Select a model (Google Imagen recommended for product photography) and set the aspect ratio to match your store's layout (1:1 for square, 4:3 for traditional).
4. Publish back to Shopify
Add a Shopify Publish node and connect the Image Generation's output to it. Select the same product as the target.
5. Run the workflow
Click Run on the Shopify Publish node (or press Cmd/Ctrl + Enter) to execute the entire pipeline. The AI will:
- Analyze your product image
- Generate a tailored prompt
- Create a professional product photo
- Publish it to your Shopify store with AI-generated alt text

Pro Tips
- Use batch generation (set Number of Images to 3–5) to produce multiple variations and pick the best one
- Connect the same Shopify Import to multiple Image Generation nodes with different prompts to create diverse content for the same product
- Use the built-in image editor to crop and fine-tune results before publishing
- Start with Draft-tier models to test prompts, then switch to Pro or Premium tier for final output
